Sarah "RV" Ross-Viles #39

Sarah “RV” Ross-Viles is an East Coast transplant and comes to Riot after a number of successes in West Coast co-ed Ultimate. RV played college Ultimate at Brown University where she spent three years as a cutter/poet laureate for Disco Inferno and made Nationals appearances each year. Upon moving to Seattle in 2003, RV played a few years with the women of !Viva!. In 2004, she coached the Team USA Junior Girls to a Silver medal at the WFDF Championships in Finland. Playing with the co-ed powerhouse, Shazam, Sarah picked up a UPA Club Championship in 2007, a WFDF Championship bronze medal (2008) and a UPA Club silver medal (2008).

With her return to the women’s division, RV brings a wealth of experience and field sense to Riot’s backfield. She is a well-rounded player capable of shaking defenders loose and boxing out for in-cuts to unleash cool continue passes, break throws or long bombs downfield. RV is also a tenacious defender who rides the hip of offenders, doesn’t waste time falling for fakes, and executes impressive team defense.

When not saving the world one unsold cigarette at a time or coordinating for the WA/BC section, RV can be found making witty retorts to Val or taking on endless administrative duties for Riot such as helping to develop a whole new web site, tweeting from tournaments, and slowly but inevitably evolving into a trusty Weenie caretaker.
