Maddy Frey #16

Maddy has never been someone her opponents like to see at the starting horn, whether it was back on east coast during her college soccer career or during her time acclimating to Ultimate in Seattle city leagues and then on !Viva!.  Simply put, she is too fast and too determined.  Captaining Riot in 2009, Maddy leads by example with hard work and grind.

Comfortable in the backfield, Maddy will also not hesitate to turn and put a half-field huck to a deserving teammate.  She looks for opportunities and innovations on the field and is always ready to jump to Plaid.

Her achilles heels are simultaneously an inability to digest gluten and adherence to a never-ending quest for gluten-free products, specifically beer.  However, whatever time she loses browsing ingredients lists at a grocery store, she will quickly make up as soon as she cleats up.
